Amr Gawish

Oracle Middleware Consultant

Beginning his career as a Web Designer at 18 wasn’t enough for the ambitious Amr; he entered college and went on to complete his bachelor’s degree in Maths and Computer Sciences from Al-Azhar University in Egypt. What’s more, Amr is currently pursuing his MSc at the University of Liverpool.

Amr is certainly a high achiever; in 2014 he authored a book, ‘Oracle ADF Faces Cookbook’ with PACKT publishing, which combines the beauty of UX design interfaces with Oracle ADF technology. He was then accepted on the Oracle ACE programme as an ACE Associate, and went on to speak at Oracle OpenWorld in September 2014 on his expertise with ADF technology.

Amr is always trying to push the limits of the technology he uses. He’s spent six years working with the Oracle Middleware stack and as an Oracle Fusion Middleware Consultant, he has gained certifications in Java SE 7, Oracle ADF, WebCenter Portal, and Oracle SOA Suite.

Amr’s passion about technology is clear; he’s also gained a fair amount of experience in various other topics such as Gamification, Scala programming and Akka and is currently working on increasing his experience in microcontroller programming with Raspberry Pi, Arduino and robotics.

I'm never too old to learn everything!
